Holy shit it's been a coon's age. In the time since my last post, so much has changed. Weird times. I've started two bands since I've last written... Bamberdöst and M.O. and the Momos. I guess that's why I stopped writing here, because I was writing songs. I stopped writing songs to write here, so.... Bamberdöst is what happens when depression acusing arthritis drugs and hopelessness meet an immensely inspiring bird and then boom, 3 acoustic albums out of nowhere. I thought I was done but I'm never done. 2022 was the year of Bamberdöst. Weird writing from a place of unconditional, unapologetic love for the first time in my life. It's weirder still living this way.
Bamberdöst... I wrote a shitload of acoustic songs and hooked up with Mad Jack and Ed Enzyme from US Chaos on bass and drums respectively, and we recorded a hell of an album, taking my capo'd acoustic songs and turning them into punk anthems. We have a shitload of tshirts in all different colors too... I've done more merchandising for this band than any other. Props to Mad Jack, he made it all happen and I'm eternally grateful.
2023... I felt so good doing one band, I went off my bad arthritis meds and was a stiff psoriatic mess, but I decided to form another band. Rolling back to my days in the Undead a decade or so prior, I met this young lady... four feet tallish wielding a Les Paul and shredding more proficiently at whatever age she was than I could at that time, or now. Mary O, I knew when I saw her, one day we'd be in a band togther. She's in the Undead - Be My Ghoul video emerging from a civil war cemetery that we all got thrown out of... another story for a different day. Anyway we ran into each other over the years and reconnected a decade or so later, traded some demos and started M.O. and the Momos... we got a few EPs on Spotify and a full length coming soon. I don't want to leave our drummer Lampy out of the story, he's going to get an entire article regarding his brilliance because he's one of the best musicians I've ever met. He kills it in the Momos + Bamberdost, as well as his band 10Penny. Some day you're all going to know his real name.
